T78 Starting problems HELP Please

I took my 3rd gen out for some carbon cleaning last night and the car started crapping out on me. I was boosting 15 lbs when the car just completely died. The exhaust note completey changed and the car just died. When I tried starting her up again she sounded completely different. I thought it was something electrical but upon further inspection that wasn't the culprit. Everytime I would try to give it life the car would crank and but die. It'll start up but won't idle, the tach just goes up then straight south. My guess is that my plugs are toast but if anyone thinks otherwise please let me know, it would save me some time. Thanks

the map sensor is at the firewall to the left of the brake resevoir (about 10 o'clock) and about 1 o'clock from the edge of the TB. i'm looking at a pic of my engine compartment and it looks as if a goldish colored 10mm holds the bracket on the firewall above some metal lines.

LOL Spoolin. I still couldn't find the map sensor. Searched around the throttle body and couldn't find anything on the firewall. But doesn't matter now, one of the apex seals bit the dust. At least I can get a wilder port now

for future reference, look at this pic. look at my brake resevoir. now look 10 O'clock to it at the firewall. there is a single bracket with a goldish bolt holding it. it just over a black line that runs damn near the width of the engine bay. matter of fact, just look for the long black line.....the map sensor is on the only bracket that appears ABOVE the line. anothyer way to be sure you're looking at the right thing, look at my pass windshield wiper, look to the right of it and see a large group of grates like a sewer grate. look down and a little to the right. oh yeah, there's a vacuum hose going to the bottem of it.

Rear rotor coughed up an apex seal. So much for a paint job. Now i gotta save up for a rebuild. Cause seems to be detonation but I didn't hear a thing and didn't see any kind of boost creep.

spoolin: if he is running an e6k, his map sensor doesnt *have* to be in that exact location.

if you detonated it was a tuning issue or timing issue from the install.................

Hey Vosko, the car is at Ito's now being torn apart. You cna stop by and get the maps anytime. My map sensor is not in the stock location anymore it's been relocated to the passenger side right behind the ABS unit.
