What's the max HP range of a T88 for all you experts out there? I've been told that it can't even reach 1000rwhp. That seems a little low.....i always thought that it was capable of 1200+. I know it really depends on the setup.....but as a general range?

all depends on how much NOS you wanna use on top of that. I would say without NOS around 900 rwhp for the Greddy T88

Just to clarify.....this was a question about the turbo on a Supra. My T88 (on the RX7) will never see anywhere close to the 4 digits....uless we put it on the Supra we just finished

You also did not realise that the boost gauge reads in Kg's or bar's and it was at 2kg, roughly 30psi!

On the 2jz they have supported 850 to 900 RWHP!
On a 13B I've seen it suppport 715 RWHP!

m2 told me that the hks t51r spools up on the 20b like a t78 would on a 13b around 4000 rpms, so would a t88 on a 3 rotor be a good compromise between the t78 t51r

Jesus put down 904rwhp w/o the juice right? Is that maxed out? I've just always thought it could push more.....what about the T88H? That has the 4" exhaust right? That's the only difference isn't it? I wonder if i can upgrade mine I made a 3 1/2" downpipe.....but i don't like the transition. It starts out at 3" and transitions to 3 1/2" for the rest of the way.

I'd still have to reduce the 4" down to 3 1/2" huh.....oh well. I'll just make do

It depends on who's design T88 you're speaking of!
The trick is in the turbine side of the turbos!
It's agreed among all the experts(1000 to 2000hp monsters) that the Turbonetics line of Thumpers spool the slowest and generally give the least power in comparison with the other large frame turbo suppliers!
I've seen some of these differences by just looking at the turbos. I've also seen it on the dyno!

Nope!

I can't remeber all the differences but the turbine wheel is modified!
