Question t-67 question?

how is this turbo compared to the T04R ? Any info on average lag of this turbo in an FD? How much boost would i have to run to hit like 450rw? Is this highty recomended for a built 7? Any other info on this turbo or where i can get the cheapest bolt-on kit? or sugestions on other turbos?

Thanks,
Josh

PT-67 is the same or close to a To4R.

It is the same as a TO4R with regard to the wheels. It is available in many different trims, and ARs. Typically a "67" is a PT67 made by Precision turbo, and is Garrett based, with a Precision housing. The turbo is capable of ~750+rwhp on a 3.0 liter piston motor(MKIV Supra), and should make ~450-525 in a Q trim with an AR of between .81, and .96 with reasonably good spool. I will be using a .81 Q trim on myroad race car (13BT) with a street port. I think I will get ~450rwhp@22psi, with 15psi by 3500rpm. Until I get my wheels, and tires, I'll have to wait to tune it though. Chris Roth has a .84 dual BB version, and made ~470@19psi. As for a Kit, the HKS Cast manifold will fit this Turbo on a 13B without modification, or spacers. From there, you simply need to fab a DP, and a short WG pipe. The rest is plumbing, fuel, and electronics. As always, if you're starting with few mods, figure 7-10,000.00 to do it right. Carl

ya i'm actually right over 10g's with the turbo kit. Thanks for the info. ..My mechanic says I'll hit over 400rw with 14psi..I'm just trying to find out at what rpm i would hit full boost, and if it's as laggy as proclaimed.. I like the way the t78 sounds..just more boost is required than i'd like to run.

PT67 will outspool the T78 by roughly one half hour

T70 is a BIG power set-up, the 67 is plenty for ~450 IMHO. Search for T70 threads, there are several, but It's hard to hook more than 450-500rwhp with-out drag tires IME. Carl
