Stock FD goes 10.6 at 130 with GT35R

Alot of people have been asking us to take this car to track already and today we finally got a chance to see how fast a GT35R will go in a stock FD.
This car made 501hp at 21~22psi with E85.

We knew we were going to get kicked out because this is a complete street car and doesn't have a cage or other necessary safety equipment.

We assumed we would get one run in then get a warning and then make a second killer pass and go home. This way my brother could get his butterflies out on the first pass and then put it on kill for the last one.

Well that didn't go as planned! We were kicked out after the first pass!!!!

They also didn't display the time on the scoreboard or want to give us a time slip..
I knew once i saw his 1.49 60ft time posted that he was in trouble.

Sucks as we know the car could definitely run a better number.

The car makes close to 15lbs of boost on the 2step but on this run he didn't hold it long enough and only made 5lbs.

He also wanted to make sure he didn't miss any gears so he granny shifted 1/2 and 2/3 but powershifted 3/4. The datalog show's .6 tenth's of a second wasted from the 1/2 and 2/3 combined. Plus the sun wasn't being to friendly either.

I honestly feel that if he would've powershifted all gears, left with 15lbs of boost, and ran it back later in the evening with much cooler air, He would've gone a 10.30

But we never got another chance...

We might take it to a track rental later this month at ATCO.
There much more forgiving there about track rules.. lol..

I put a video up on youtube.

Enjoy...

gt35r ftw!!! nice run...Assuming stock ports? whats the spec on the turbo and clutch...I am also running a gt35r with .82 exhuast housing on stock ports and its plenty of power already on 15 pounds..damn, I bet he was in for a hell of a ride at 22psi.

Congrats Enzo and everyone else involved!
I say 10.30's is very possible.
I ran 10.20's with 525whp way back in the last century!

u mean stock motor with stock ports? b/c it's hard to imagine the fuel delivery system being stock at all or the ignition for that matter. i know it takes 850/1600 with pump to break the 500 barrier and add 30% to that for E85

nice run tho.. got so much E85 around here, i have to put it to good use now!

I think he means a stock bodied/interior fd. Not stripped, Caged, etc.

Great times.

I read in another thread that this is a BONE stock engine, so absolutely NO PORTING.

What are the specs on the turbo and what other mods do you have? That was a great run. I ran a 12.61@111mph with a 2.0 60ft(street tires and spinning) with 320rwhp want to try to get into the tens and trying to figure out a good turbo and fuel setup.

You bet there's hope, tearbo2 is making north of 700whp, stock ports[cosmo
though] and is trapping 140 with all kinds of traction issues.

IMPRESSIVE!

Others, don't get your hopes up of duplicating this, typically you should expect anything from low 12's to low 11's. This was a GOOD run.

Nice pass, and a great launch.

Funny we have a local here that I will not mention.... with 800hp that just made it out of the 10's.

It's not the ride, it's the rider. ...

He should change his signature to accommodate..

In search of 30lbs+ and people who want to race for $ against other peoples cars..

BTW: Take that talk to those other forums and stop ruining peoples threads with your BS...
