advan neova (oe lotus elise) or bridgestone re-01r.
im leaning towards the re01r's myself.

ha, neova and re01r are the 2 tires I was thinking of as well! If you just drive in straight lines those dot legal nitto drag tires would probably be best for you. azenis 615, and federal 595rs are good cheap tires that grip well. Hankook r-s2 and khumo MX are decent street tires but definatly a step below the others in terms of grip.

Granted the weather has been pretty cold, but at 15 psi I was having minor wheelspin all the way through 2nd gear, and even in third gear the car felt a little squirrely......this is with identical rims and rear tire sizes, but with BFG KD's, which I've always felt were stickier than the MX's.......
not at 560 whp I dont have traction in 1st or second, but third and up yes...at 15 lbs boost(430whp), I have no wheel spin at all in second gear and up, and at 500whp,1st spins, I actually dont spin if but little up top in 2nd when its summer time.
If I want traction with the high boost setting, then I just bolt on the ET Streets, dump the clutch bouncing off the 2 step at 10 lbs, and terrorize the streets, haha.

I figure for 148 bucks each for the rears and like 130 for the fronts, its not a bad deal. Ray was even commenting on how well my car hooks up. I made some adjustments when I did the alignment and made the rear camber a bit more positive so when the car launches and squats, it equals out the contact patch instead of negative cambering the tire patch... and also have the basic stuff like the drag links, etc...

None taken....

FB no turbo/no power/CSP auto-x
FC Holset H1E/little tiny hp/time trials and HPDE

There isn't a street tire out there that can hold that kind if horse power in first, second, or arguably third gear with the weigh of these of cars. I know that the tiny hp numbers in my FC will torque loose my 255 MX's any where in the range of second gear.

I've got Yokohama ES 100's on my car... I can't seem to break them loose under WOT in any gear

Then again I have 146hp.

^^KDW2's are not nearly sticky enough for a car with 450+ rwhp. ES100s, KDW2s, these are tires better suited for a 300 rwhp car......

I was going to try to run Pirelli P-Zero Corsas, but I can't find a way to run 295s all around. I think my next set of tires might be Bridgestone S02As.

Why are you looking into those? Based on the limited sizes, very high price, and so-so rankings, they don't seem like a great choice

If you want the best drag/ street tire. Buy the new MT Drag radials. They out perform the Nitto's and BFG hands down. I have several I know that say they even out do the MT ET Streets! Same class as the Nitto's and BFG DR's so you can still drive on the streets. Many new records have been set with these tires.

I dunno, I got sort of a biased opinion regarding the Corsas because I spent 4 hours riding around in a 360 Challenge Stradale on some twisty roads and smooth highways, too. I guess that can always alter your perception, lol.

edit: Sorry I'm a bit thick and didn't realize you meant the Bridgestones. I'm looking for a set of tires to throw on the rear and I was interested in something that was going to ride slightly smoother/quieter/have a tiny bit more grip than my SP Sport 9000's. I only need a set of rear tires because the dipsh*t that installed my tires last time didn't seem to have too much experience with mounting low-profile tires and messed up one of the sidewalls.

I think since the FD isn't exactly a comfortable cruising sort of car I'm going to go all out with my next set of tires and put on some Advan A048's, or the Toyo R888's if they come in the right size.

I've been looking at the A048s as well.....haven't heard about the Toyo R888s, I'll have to look into those. One thing I like about toyos, they always seem to be very light tires.

Edit, link:

http://www.toyojapan.com/new_tires/p...888/index.html

and

http://www.toyojapan.com/new_tires/p...roxes_r888.pdf

They definitely need to get some wider sizes, with what they have listed FD guys with 18 inch rims are currently SOL.
