Thumbs up SFP manifold

I just wanted to let you guys know how great South florida Performance is. 1.5 month ago, I found out that my SFP manifold starting to deteroriate after almost 3 yrs of abuses I have been doing. Remember now, I do autox, drag race and road racing on my car. the manifold started to show cracks on the welding. anyways, I talked to Crispeed and he told me to get in touch with Juan of South Florida performance and see what they can do for me. I called Juan and without questions, he told me to send it back to them and they'll replace it for me. The problem I have was since I have so many drag racings this year, the schedule was very tight. Juan told me not a problem and to sent him the manifold and he'll get it welded tempourary so I can still use while they build me a new one. I sent it to him overnight and they rewelded the crack spots and sent it back to me overnight. What a great guy! I used the manifold until recently where I have a 3 week window for me to take the manifold out so I can send it to them where they can copy the exact location of where the flanges are. The manifold came back today after less than a week. They went out of their way on their busy schedule and made a manifold for me. The only thing I paid for was the shipping charge. Normally, they would not cover any racing application warranty but they did it just for me. He also told me that even with warranty coverage, I was suppose to pay for the cost of the material but he waived it off for me. This is something I have to share this with you guys because of their great services and commitment. The manifold looks awesome and I'm sure it'll perform just as good if not better than my previous manifold. If you guys ever plan to do a custom single turbo setup and need an excellent manifold, I definately recommend SRP to you guys. Again I like to thank crispeed for helping me out and Juan of South Florida performance for getting the manifold made so quick.

Just curious, if you took the manifold out and shipped it to them, why wouldn't they just ship you a new one back instead of doing a temporary weld fix and then do a new part swap later?

This just doesn't make much sense...

I think the reason was, Steve had no time to wait for them to build a new manifold. his was a custom manifold, and he could not risk the car being down and missing a race.

XS engineering also makes a nice manifold..but i think the Greddy T78 maniifold is the best out there: S.S.,T-04 flange, split, equal length runners

The craftsmanship of SFP manifolds is absolutely incredible. I have one for my BB t66 FC. They also custom built it to fit an HKS 50mm w/g. Just make sure you are ultra clear in your invoice-they built me a FD manifold the first time around (man in back's fualt-syndrome).

I had an .... interesting time with SFP.

With all said and done, I have a manifold, wastegate, etc, etc.

But, it was not very fun getting there. Maybe I burned my own bridges because I bitched and moaned, but regardless. I don't want to get into all the details, but a $50 phone bill later, and some vacation loss, I got my stuff.

Hi Chad,

I crash at steve's house frequently on the weekends--I'm sure you've seen my red 7 out in on the cul de sac many times. I know one of his neighbors has a sweet a/c cobra replica--didn't know he had a neighbor w/a t66. What kind of car do you drive?
