screen or filter??

There is no space for a longer filter. My t-78 has a 5 inch long filter(K&N) and I think im suffering air flow . Do guys know where I can get a screen for it instead of a filter??? thanks

If all you want is a steel mesh screen just make one for $5 (or less). Do you have a picture of your engine bay?

heres one, My koyo radiador is already in the way. The radiaator is actually touching the filter. Im not sure if the pic will fit but it all I have. Nope to big to post, but the 5 inch filter is forced to fit. I might have to go back with the greddy filter.

Is there room to add a bend-pipe between the filter and turbocharger so that the filter doesn't have to be mounted longitudally infront of the turbo? Just an idea.

i have heard that a screen actually flows less that a large K&N filter!
Seems hard to believe, but i guess there was flow bench data avalible.
I plan on using a filter on my car mostly cause i like to be safe!

Get some Santoprene hose from mcmaster.com and remote-mount a filter.
