I’m back. Now with broken laptop, dropped it getting out of the car.
Wet roads again, hit 29.2psi by mistake and stepped out sideways at 90.
Anyway, did two identical runs(apart from peak boost)on the same stretch of road within 10 minutes.
There is not a lot in it at all unfortunately. Ryan’s tweaks definitely make the car more punchy so I was expecting more.
First 4 are my original map from the dyno run.
I'd suggest a closed loop boost control and run no more than 21psi
Secondary Injector Transition has a lean-spike which can be resolved with a stronger initial percentage of secondary fuel duty cycle
Check your intake air temperature sensor and it's calibration. Seems incredibly low for a boosted car running that much boost on a dyno (15C). Where do you have it located?
Transient Fueling needs taken care of. It's not terrible, but that ECU has a damn good setup for it.
Looks like it's only marginally faster into boost. You'll feel more of it at lighter loads and earlier RPM.
Thanks Ryan.
Will look into all these suggestions.
The iat is low because it was cold out (6degrees C) and because it had just had a dose of water meth right before that run. Sensor is in stock location.
Im happy with the results as the turbo spools quicker on the road than it did on the dyno so it’s not as laggy as initially thought.
As Howard says a 500whp fd is a scary quick car.
Thanks Ryan.

Nice work. If it feels faster on the road then that is all that counts. Sometimes data can be a little annoying like that and doesn't always correlate with seat of pants.
Transient response is not easily measured, doesn't mean we ignore it. Nice work to you and Ryan on the improvements in that area..
Those runs looks amazing, just wondering if you have any dragy gps for 60-100mph or 60-130mph?
looking at the dyno I noticed the power and torque don't cross over at 5,252 RPM? is there a reason for this?
The results on this have been fantastic but as some have mentioned the turbo and engine seems to be right at the edge of what they can do. Impressive none the less.
Ive got a link g4 plus ecu and an engine that has a large street port and a Garrett To4z with a 1.00ar. Currently I'm mapped to 0.7 bar of boost or approx 10psi but I will up the boost to
1.2bar ~17 psi and another stage to
1.4bar ~ 20psi
I usually err on the side of caution and dont usually map past 15 psi. Just hoping to get some advice around mapping at 1.2-1.4 bar with good reliability and safety rather than max power.
I will be using aem water injection to reduce the IAT. I wont be tuning for meth...but i have 5 gallons of meth...which i can use it only for cooling purposes only rather than tuning for it. I usually only run water injection.
Will also use klotz octane boooster after ive dialled in my tune for an additiona layer of safety.
Is there any advice in regards to afrs, ign timing that i should take into consideration at these higher boost level at 1.2-1.4 bar?
