Hey guys, I'm thinking about running a single turbo t04s(non ball bearing) on my fd with greddy m spec intercooler, power fc, greddy profec b 2 boost controller without a street port or anything but just keeping it low boost what do you guys think? will it damage my car?

 

Damaged as in, you're parked in the parking lot at the supermarket and a shopping cart smashes into your FD?

Not sure what you're asking.

Upgrade your fuel system, and get the car worked on and tuned by a rotary (and FD) specialist.

 

If anything it would extend the life of your engine since you remove the twin heat generators.

Yah i'll defenetly get a good tuner but the install of the single turbo and intercooler seems like any good mechanic can do. And i meant damaged as in ruin my engine, you know blow my apex seals, and the m spec intercooler not being effecient enough for the T04s. Since many people usually do street ports, or rebuilds on the engines before installing a single turbo i was just woundering would it be bad just installing it with intercooler, power fc, boost controller with the engine as is and keeping it at low boost?

 

Street port just gives you more power, you don't necessarily need it. As for any mechanic doing the swap, its not that simple since you have to block off a lot of things and remove some. Single turbo won't make you pop a seal, a bad tune or mechanic will.

Maybe someone can state all the block off plates needed for the single turbo swap, I'm sure it will help out a few members..

 

All those few members need to do is search..... It's been done, to say the least.
