RX6 / dyno /pics

I apologize for taking so long to post my dyno sheet but have been sick and seem to be computer illiterate. Could someone please PM with instructions on how to post a direct pic. Yes I did a search. Car mods are in a previous post -https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=133304

Here is the Dyno Pic. Check out the torque curve.

your car looks really really good the more pictures I see of it. What kind of intercooler is that? The piping is very very straight and also where did you get the radiator block off ducts? Did you buy them or custom make them. Your car looks like a lot of jdm rx7's...the way it's done up

I did all the fab work myself with the exception of Aluminum and stainless welding. My friend is so good I don't even need to try.

The reason I started this new thread is because my other one has been sitting for a while and I was hoping to get some input about my intercooler pipes and wastegate plumbing. I was told by XS Engineering that quite a bit of horse power can be lost the way that I plumed it. I am not a Rotary Guru my any means. ( Meaning I don't know what I am doing and was hoping from some input from knowledgeable people.)

Intercooler - APEX'i GTR core
Radiator - Griffin 27 1/2" x 16 Chevy style W/ 2- 1 1/4" tubes.

As for JDM RX7 I have no idea. I made it the way I thought it should be.

The only thing I can think of with the I/C tubing is the size. Maybe they like to see larger tubing?

The only thing I could recommend is going from 2.5 inch diameter pipe to 3 inch. I didn't know that it mattered how you plumb your wastegate, maybe you should have XS do it

I had a fiend call up APEX'i and get the scoop on the RX6A turbo kit that I bought. ( trim bla, bla, bla )and suggested that I run the 2-1/2" tubing to promote flow. He told me that the turbo doesn't need anything larger because of it's size. Also the 2-1/2" would help in throttle response. I polished the inside of the tubes exceedingly well and made nice smooth bends. The end tanks on my intercooler turned out nice also.

I agree with your sugestion on the ignition.

Thanks for your responses. It is nice to get input from several individuals. As they say two minds are better than

The waste gate plumbing is good. The only thing I could have done different is to connect in farther down my mid pipe. I pollished the interior tubes also

I would go with the B&M NewVolt ignition amp. It is reasonable price and works extremely well. This is what I run on my car.

doesn't that thing have pretty bad emi and rfi? i say go with twin crane hi6's w/ 2 crane coils on the leading and leave trailing alone. they've got that special where you get a free coil when you buy a hi6.

I can still make cell phone calls just fine. It is all a matter of what you like and who recommends it. Twinpower is good, I just have had better recommendations for the NewVolt and my experience with it has been stellar.

regards
