Question overboosting problem, any ideas

I am sorry that i even have to post this thread, i should be able to figure out how to keep the boost down. I have the stock 15 pound spring in my apexi external wastegate, and was wondering if there was any way to run about ten pounds of boost without getting a 5 or 10 pound spring. I have searched but have not found a definative answer to the question. I have no problem in 1st gear, but when i hit 2nd the boost jumps all the way up to 15. I have a profec b hooked up and both vacuum lines coming from the wasegate to charged air into my intercooler pipe. any ideas would be great.
thanks
brad

if your wastegate has a 15 pound spring in it then thats as low as its going to go ! if you want less boost then the best way to get less is to buy a lower spring...

That is what spring I had in My Apex WG and everyone was telling Me that it only came in a 10 PSI. It sucks but You should be running 15 PSI anyways with that turbo and maybe a little bit more. Mine stuck shut and I boosted a nice 22 PSI once so make sure that valve guide has been changed out or was a ss one from factory. Get a new spring if You have too. I would not cut that one You will screw it up.

You can run a Pop Off valve and adjust it to bleed off anything over 10 or 12 or whatever psi you want. It will only allow up to that amount of pressure to reach your intake manifold. The rest blows out into the atmosphere. Its also great for anyone who wants a safeguard against overboosting due to a failed wastegate etc. Your turbo will still be pushin 15 psi but only 10psi will get to the motor.
