Looks a bit like a KKK similar to this one here....

Give us a hint at least! What size turbine does it have?

You really need to do your research and ask less questions...

Wonder what the specs are in this TII I actually have a call in to these guys with all the recent interest in spending twice the money you need to on turbos, and manifolds I say that only because most of the TT set-ups I have seen are being done for drag oriented cars/owners. It seems to me the benefit (assuming proper design) , is faster spool than a large single, but with the same end output. I think it is worth mentioning that HKS as an example has not been succesful in this type of set-up, their twin set-ups are typically laggy, and have mediocre output. Carl

Sorry about the small size of the motor pic, it's too large full size. This is a "street car" built by City Performance in AU Carl

The Manifold will be completley divided. the runners are equil lenght (within one inch...which is pretty cool considering the space constraints)

as far as exhaust what do you mean?

It will be a 3 inch DP with an electric cutout valve about 18 inches away from the turbo. when it's closed it will run through the regular exhaust.

wastegates are vented to atm.

At what point do you need to upgrade the UIM & LIM to support such a huge volume of air? Wouldn't they be a restriction with that much air?
We plan on making a custom intake manifold for the car. If this doesent happen in time i can use a jaytec..

Just call TEC up and ask them what kind of turbos they are.

Then since you start making some real power..........all of a sudden this car is "too loud" for the dyno and can't be tuned on the dyno anymore. And supposedly this won't make 450rwhp at 15psi, according to whom???? LOL..... If Im incorrect, I appoligize. I hope I am wrong.

I think some of those things are a little twisted around E. Please calm down so not to start a fight.

Actually, to clear things up. It wasn't 11psi. The boost was set at wastegate spring (10psi) for the first few initial pulls. The boost slowly creeps to about 14psi and made around 360rwhp. It was soon after that, the dyno shop told us we couldn't dyno the car anymore because his car was way too loud with the PFS exhaust. The car was so loud that I couldn't even tell the wastegate was opened. I was also worried that there was a lean spot from 4k-5k rpm (12.5:1 a/f) and eventually figure out that is when the wastegate opens and throws the a/f off. We probably spend an hr troubleshooting his car making random pulls on the dyno to diagnose the lean spot. Will it make 450rwhp at 15psi? Probably not on 91 octane but it feels closer to around 390-400rwhp @15psi once everything was sorted out from my butt dyno. To be honest, the guy was concerned with the boost creep more than hp # since he road race it (more heat). I believed Allen Hah accidently took Mike's dyno chart so I'm sure he can scan it and post it up on the forum. I have tuned enough rx7s out there with different turbo kit configurations to know enough of what to expect out of each car/turbo kit. You shoud know better than that! To say that I was *affraid* to make good hp with the R85 kit is totally uncalled for unless you heard it from the source. Now, I'm sure that you probably want my opintion on the turbo kit. Spool up isn't bad at all but it didn't show any faster spool up compared to the dyno chart posted on keith's website that made 460rwhp using the J-tech manifold. I think we made 10psi of boost at around 3700rpm on the dyno while datalogged. The manifold design looks very similar to the South florida manifold but it is stainless steel instead of mild steel. The downpipe really needs to be stainless steel instead of mild steel since it was rusted already. Other than that, the turbo kit definately has the potential.

Question

The RD85 is a Garrett /Borg Warner hybrid ...thats what Dee told me .Looks solid , quality was very good. Just a little confused why in the world would they make a twin set ? and how the hell its going to fit , the single RD85 takes up all the space available .If the dyno's are correct the single R85 can put out 610hp on a street ported 13b. Thats with the right fuel set up and a good tunner .What or why would a twin configuration be a option ?

Not to start a war , but why did you put a T88 on the FD you bought from Joe Ernnie ? I was just confused you didnt go with the RD85 .If thats what Joe was going to put on it , why didnt you sell it and support Demetrious and Keith's kit .Just a thought ......

I'll be putting together a custom twin GT35R setup on my car as well. Turbos will be pretty trick and they will weigh under 10lbs each with s/s turbine housing.

You'll make some serious power!
Good luck with your setup.

I'll post pics after the holidays

Don't be so quick to say it's not going to happen as I already had one and weighed it myself.
