Which Radiator?
Which Radiator?
This will be going in an FD, and I will be running a greddy Fmic and t88 turbo.
I'm just wondering whether anyone is running a custom radiator?
It would be nice to have a 3" core radiator, but I have searched and can't really find anything. Maybe the koyo will do the best job, but I just want to leave my options open.
Thanks

Most aftermarket rads are pretty close in thickness. I believe the thickest is the newer Koyo N-flow rads, its a 3 row versus the standard 2 row that most are. Now if you go with something custom you could really get whatever you want, but there is a point where too thick of a rad will actually hinder cooling instead of helping. It all depends on the design. If your going custom i would look into Ron Davis. He makes some amazing rads and his craftsmanship is second to none. One option you may want to consider if going custom is a dual pass rad.
I'm very happy with my Koyo. I installed it before I had any water temperature gauge, but my car has not overheated since, and my heater does a significantly worse job heating the interior than it did with the stock radiator.
My Power FC typically shows water temp at around 85-90 driving in the City and 79 driving down the freeway.
All aluminum, polished with beautiful welds, and twice the stock thickness, the Koyo is a top quality piece.
