Proper Fuel System Routing?
I'm in the process of converting my car to a single turbo and will be removing the UIM soon.
I'm a little confused with the exact layout of the fuel system and was hoping someone could help clear it up for me. Given that we're talking about fuel here, I'm taking extra measures of precaution.
Here is what I bought:
-Injector Dynamics 2000cc's for the Secondaries
-Full Function Eng Secondary Rails
-Weldon FPR
-Pushlock fittings and lines
My goal with the car is only to make around mid 300's with no more than 12 PSI, so I will be sticking with the stock primaries and rail.
With all of this, what is the correct way to route everything? How do you identify the stock FPR (I was told this was a mushroom looking thing) and FPD? And do people usually remove the stock FPD?

If you are upgrading your secondary rail you should really run it backwards to what your diagram shows(assuming you are running a separate dedicated supply line). Basically replace supply with return(and leave the braded lines as is on the supply side as they will see more pressure). Also swap the FPR with the fuelfilter and bypass the FPD as you wont be needing this anymore since you are basically running it backwards now. Another thing you could/ and probably should do is use the stock supply as your return since it is a bigger line, just need to bypass the stock fuel filter near tank and make sure your supply is bigger than this supply that you will now use as a return.

I have my Parallel Setup as Filter to Y to Both rails..out of both rails to Regulator to Return.
The regulator acts as a FPD anyways so it is not needed.
Setup is 1000/2000 with a T04.

I've always run parallel in the past, recently I've simplified the system to just run in series and I've had absolutely no problems. Your biggest worry is more about the fuel pump, not the parallel/series debate. Make sure you have the most conservative bends possible and the best wiring you can have for your pump. Some pumps can handle "hard-wiring" (13.8-14.5 charging volts) and some have to use voltage regulators.
For the street "long-term" reliability your best bet these days are an Aeromotive Stealth. If you aspire to go much more the Walbro 400's are excellent. I just haven't run one for a very long time. Not that the Walbro 400 can't make it the same time (if no longer) it's just I like to have real experience before recommending items. I can get both for you at pretty good pricing if you need.
