Profec b on a T-78, what gives?

ok, i hooked up the boost controller just like it says:

top port of the W/G to the IN port of the stepper motor
side port of the W/G to a vac. source(tapped into the brake booster line)
the OUT port of the stepper motor to a vac. source(nipple on the upper intake manifold)

with out the B/C hooked up, i run 12psi
with it hooked up and at the lowest setting, i get 12-15psi even with the B/C off i get the same.

i tryed all the dip switches.. how do you guys got yours hook up?

right now, i have mine hooked up at stated above, and in 3rd gear, i start out at 12# and by red line, i'm at 14-14.5# and thats with the ballance turned to mild..

please let me know, thanks, scott

You got on the dyno! Cool! Post that sheet. I bet there are about 40 free horses hiding in there. Re-check your email again. I think your ISP ate the last email due to the extension. Sent a Zip this time.

Hey Scott, nice meeting you at the dyno runs. I got there on Saterday and the lot was too full by the dyno, so I had to park the my CYM out back. I'm running about the same set up as you are. I have the low boost setting at about 10 oclock and moved the balance to about 2 oclock. I get about .75 on the PFC and it holds steady. Hey just wondering if you guys solved your lean condition above 6000rpm? I had to leave after your 2nd run. The first run scared the **** out of me when you hit fuel cut. BTW nice run at 13 pounds.

ya, Tony, you missed his Dyno...first pull he hit 1.10 bar according to the commander. Thought he detonated, but I quickly realized it was because his PFC boost setting was on .80/.85. .85 + .25 == fuel cut.

You should have seen scott's face...it was ummm...ghost white...he was looking @ me for assurances he didn't just blow his motor...thank GOD for the fuel cut as he started going lean as hell in the 17psi range with the map he currently has.

Without a laptop (you had it), the only tools I had were the dyno WB and PIMS...so we tweaked the PIMS to give him a decent 10 - 11AFR curve and I told him to keep the boost low until we can get him back here, drop a map with enough fuel for his T78 and do some tunin!

If you end up with 2, I'll buy one. The laptop we have been sharing is a work laptop, I need to return it back to the engr team sometime soon...
