Okay my goal is 450 rear wheel horsepower on pump gas without a tremendous amount of lag. Is that even possible? right now i have all the normal bolt ons and running non sequential at 1bar @ around 350 hp. I have a KDR street port. Any ideas? Oh yeah... on a single turbo obviously

You'll get much more informed info if you post this in the "single turbo" section. Most of those guys know their ****.

IMHO 60-1, 1.15 A/R turbine side. and run propane to get the octaine up so you can run high boost. your at the max boost pressure for pump gas octaine I wouldn't take in any higher without racing gas or propane. IMHO

i was just reading a thread about the propane injection. can you run propane and water injection at the same time? if so would it be really difficult to get them working properly?

You can run them at the same time, and it would be very easy to do.

However, they both essentially achieve the same goal. Just, IMHO, Propane is superior in all regards.

The only company that sells a propane injection kit setup for boosted applications (non diesel) is www.dynamicracing.com -- which is the same kit I'm running.

Direct URL to the kit is here:

I would opt for the water injection myself. The propane injection sounds like there would be some danger in terms of a daily driven car.

There is just this little thing in my brain that is yelling safety....

Water seems to be the safest and proven method to cool the a/f charge.

Now for the topic...

I would go with a X S Engineering To4S setup. This motor (and overall setup) would need to be quite beefy to get the 450 rwhp on pump gas. Throwing in some water injection would definitely make it easier to achieve those power goals. Lots of machining would be in order as well to the motor itself to keep it all together as well. Would this be a daily driver or just a weekend warrior that will run for a limited amount of time? Most of these built motors are recommended to be rebuilt after 50k miles. The danger is throwing $8k-10k of hardware/machining into a short-block and making sure you don't scatter it in a short amount of time...
I would recommend talking to KDR, X S, or some of the other better shops. Seems like some shop that is close to you and is highly reputable would be the "go-to" shop. Not a job for a "back-yard" mechanic.

regards

Rick

You're forgetting that it is street ported = more power with less boost.

PSI doesn't make power, airflow makes power, and don't forget that!

T66 with a divided manifold...if your wallet can handle it, any number of GT30/GT3x series Garrett BB turbos would fit the bill.
