pierburg 800 fuel pump

Anyone know much about these? Rated at 330lph compared to bosch 044s 270lph, apparently OEM on many large displacement, high output AMG mercedeses.

I'd be keen to know how they actually compare to the 044, but cant find any real info on them. Ill try to find time to call some of the sellers during the week, but im flat out during buisness hours

I have a couple of their small low pressure pumps for carbs. They work well but are small.

The large one you're interested in will probably work ok. The quality seems to be there.

Ok its good to know you're happy with the quality. This thing definitely looks like a monster, but yet to find any useful info on it.

Im not even sure what the part number is, but a few fuel injection places are selling them and the catch cry seems to be "better than 044" and "no lift pump required, incredible suction" LOL.

If they are proven to out flow an 044 in the real world and are quieter, then im having one.

To say no lift pump is required is short sighted. Any pump will produce more flow when its fed by another pump vs having to pull fuel to itself. You're selling yourself short by requiring an externally mounted pump to suck fuel up and out of a tank.

I think this pump paired with a Boost A Pump would be killer.

Id pay the $70 more and get the SX.

But why bother, your only running in the 400hp range. just run a single 044.

Yeah i was looking at the SX and Aeromotive a1000, but i believe they need a controller ($450 odd) so they dont burn themselves out.

I was running an 044, but my engine builder thinks it might not be quite enough, also, even though they are a great pump, they are fucken loud. That 044 noise annoys the **** out of me.

Hp wise, yeah 1bar 400hp sort of deal but there is much more potential there so might as well go over kill with the fuel system than half **** it.
I just prefer single pump to twins for various reasons.

Because it's being proven over and over a single bosch 044 can support 500+RWHP without any issues.

I just went with the new (old) Walbro 400. Nothing but good reviews from it, quiet and supports 500whp+ as well
