OK Need some input. Greddy T45

I know a dude that has a T 45 greddy ball bearing turbo for a rx-7. Just wondering if this is correct he said it would make about 700 horse power and I think that would be some Crazy horse power. he also said that I could use my stock mount Greddy?? I know theres a few guys in the club who run single. Chuck? WHat do you think should I get the T-45?? or is that thing to Damn huge? Im not sure if theres a such thing as a to big of a turbo but anyways it comes with the Exhaust manifold also. Its a XS power one. Does anyone have any recomendations for the manifold or is the xs power ok? Thanks WHat else would i have to change out?? The car is auto he said he thinks I would have to change the gear ratio. To a 4 11?? Come on lets see the comments. He has a few parts for the car. Thanks Im really thinking about going single what does the Group think? 700 HORSE? DAMN

do you have nay pics of this turbo? T-45... I never heard of T-45 turbo, may be a GT-45 and that would not be a Greddy. XS Power manifolds are crap too. I think some one is BSing you. I also think you need to educate yourself before you start modding an FD. Getting 700 is not easy almost inpossible for a street car, second controlling such a car is even harder.

Well i see nobody really has any input just a bunch of negitive stuff. Yeah the dude told me that was going to be the hardest part of this turbo was keeping the back wheels on the pavement and making them stick, basically the car would be breaking the pavement and would be smoking tires for days. And yeah I thought I could Get some input here. also it maybe a gt-45. I just saw it today and was like what the hell it was huge. Its all new stuff but this guy is making a hell of a RX-7 with a wide body kit on it. He was telling me he wants to put a Greddy 100 on it and try to aim for 1000 horse. Well we will see. But back to the subject at hand. So you dont think i should try to put it on?? That was the question. How many horse can you get from a GT-45 on a FD??? WHo knows? This is all this guy does is make cars go faster. But the GT-45 is one huge *** Turbo. WHo wants to see it? If you were in houston I would be happy to show it to you. Also thats why I posted on here was to get some type of input on this set up not just a bunch of bs. This is real. Could we please keep the comments some what connected to what Im trying to talk about. Its one huge Bad @ss ball bearing turbo.

GT-45 is too big for street trim. From experience, if you are making a street driven car, don't need that much hp. IMO anything past 450 whp is more of a pita to drive on the street that is is fun. It will be fun if your are 100% WOT but for regular and low speed driving will be anoying.

OK, I have a Greddy t-88. I run 425whp on the street @14psi with a safe tune. The car is fun and but you can't keep it is a straight line with this power on street tires. The Greddy t-88 can push 50psi and is basically equivelent to garret gt42r. Yes you can reach 700hp with this turbo no problem, of course you will need the proper fuel mods and the engine needs to be built properly.

Can you push more power with this turbo? yes you can but there is no need. Regarding the t-45, well he must be referring to a gt45r, and that turbo is huge and will need lot's of custom work to make it fit properly.

Stick to a t-88 or gt42r if you want big power, be prepared for some lag.

You need to get your facts straight, cause GReddy does not sell a "T 45" nor a "T45".

Could be this.....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GT45-...21633189QQrdZ1

That looks pretty big to me. I know it isn't a Garrett or a Greddy, but maybe there is some confusion.

That looks like the SSAutoChrome or XS-Power crap.
They make up their own turbo model designations as they see fit just for marketing purposes.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying that is a good turbo. Just saying that the guy might have been told that it was a good large turbo. There is no denying that is a large turbo. Huge actually. Piece of crap? Most definately for that price. I wouldn't trust it at all. I'll stick with my Garrett GT40R.

I also believe it is made by a company in China called Hangzhou. Look it up. If you buy it from them, you have to buy at least 50 of them at one time.

Also, if you keep looking on Ebay at the different GT45 turbos, there is a used one for sale that the guy put on his RX7 and he said that he couldn't spool it.
