It is more or less a straight through hole... there is a metal insert thing in there that does something, but I don't know what. On all the used housings I have around here, air passes easily both ways through this insert...
Some pics (not too helpful)...

So the question is:
If I insert a small piece of metal in the hole should be able to go all the way into the housing?
If anyone has a spare housing around and can test this I would be grateful.
My front injector is leaking oil back up through the injector into the vac hose. I assume this is because its blocked somehow. I wonder if I hook up some compressed air would I blast the clog out; is this a good idea?
Thanks
Chris

the oil injectors have one way check valves in them, if its leaking back up through the oil injector then you need a new one cause the check valve is fubar'd

Whoa whoa whoa... let's be clear here...
Are you concerned there is a clog in your oil metering bolt or in the actual rotor housing hole?
Sounds to me like you found oil in the hose going to your oil injector bolt. This has caused you to think that the oil got there because it has nowhere else to go. This could be caused by one of two things that I can think of... 1) the hole going to the rotor housing is blocked or 2) the oil metering bolt is screwed up and is letting things back up into there.
Did you download my movie about how oil metering bolts are constructed? Shows the inside of it...

chances are your injector diaphrams are busted like mine were. i noticed oil making it's way to my turbo inlet and couldn't figure out why. i replaced my oil injectors and now it's all good. they're only $20 each from malloy. biggest pain is just gettin to them. call them at 1-888-533-3400, ask for ray crowe, and tell him eric korff sent ya. he'll treat ya right

Wargasm very interesting movie. Thank you.
You are correct that I found oil in my front oil injector hose. Actually I found the hose dripping oil after a long boost run. I replaced with an old oil injector that I had from my previous engine. It too leaked. Both injectors passed the mouth blowing/sucking test. This is why I think they were both good.
I could purchase a new one and see what happens - possibly a bad diaphram.
The other possibility is that the hole in the housing is clogged with something - not sure how to fix this.
Note: I can get a nice discount on oem mazda parts. Girlfriend is a salesperson. I think I will try a new injector next.
