No boost efr 8374 IWG need a little help

OK i put the efr 8374 IWG in the car a little over a year ago (turbo smart kit). Have the turbo smart IWG-75 with 14lb springs. Had 13psi no problems! I got an additional spring to add a little more (19lbs now) so i can get the psi up to 18 (water inj is comming soon have boost limited to 13psi). But right now i have NO boost. I just noticed the my EGT's while cruising are in the 1600-1700's. Those temps are normally under full boost. Cruising i'm usually around 1k. How should i start trouble shooting this? As far a i can tell there is no boost leak. Is the wastegate staying open?

thanks
Carl

Have you tried removing the 5# spring to see what happens w your original setup? Does the problem continue to persist?

Have you touched the ignition system?

do you have a wideband?

Has it lost off boost torque?

bit hard to say without knowing more but if running richer than normal I would check there isn't a restriction from sometthing left in an intake or exhaust pipe if you removed stuff to change the gate. Otherwise check plugs and leads, might only be running on trailing spark?

None of that was messed with when i upgraded the spring. I'll check spark tomorrow and verify.

Once it stops raining I'll pull the plugs, put the car up and have a look. I added a quick log of a run around the block. I can't get it to go past 4k RPM either in 2nd or 3rd gear. didn't try any other. If it is the plugs i'l have to order some.

Thanks
Carl

Here are pics of the 7420-10's in the front rotor. Rear look the same. Prob need to replace those? I deff have a loss of torque it'll barely get past 4k rpms in first gear. I logged my quick trip around the block i am seeing 1-2 psi of boost right now. But it sure doesn't feel like it.

Have you confirmed something in the exhaust or intake isn't blocked? Did you remove stuff to change the actuator?

So I think I found the problem after I got some nice weather....Any suggestions on a good cat or go resonated mid-pipe?

Stainless cored 100 cell or 200 cell. Either of those or a res will be less retrictive than the ceramic cat, you need to make sure it doesn't run lean in the top end with the new setup. Should make a bit more power.

Okay so I guess this thread is getting a bump

Specs are as follows:

-Large streetport 13b-rew
-Efr8374 IWG on Turblown's short cast manifold
-Turbosmart BOV
-Turbosmart Actuator with spring at 15psi
-Adaptronic Modular M2000
-MAC 4 port valve
-Custom vmount
-3.5" downpipe going to 3" resonated midpipe and 3" resonated catback

With duty set at 20% it boosts to 17 psi early on and then falls off to 8-9 psi after 6000rpm.

Have checked every coupler, actuator rods everything nothing seems off.
Bought a used straight piped 3.5" full exhaust to try and see if it's the culprit.

4 ports really need to be run closed loop.

how is it ported to the diaphargm?

I know this isn't the proper way to fix, but have you tried adding duty above 6,000 RPMs to see if the boost picks up???? Just set a boost cut in case you get way too much. This may steer us to whether its mac valve related or restriction related/mechanical.

Can you be more specific? I think it is connected the right way but I'll have to ask my tuner.

And yes that is actually my next step. I will set a boost cut at 17psi and set duty at 40% after 6000 RPMs to see what it does.
