Still breaking (breaking in) the engine. I'm getting out of Dodge on Saturday and putting 500mi.

Boost comes in around 2,500-3,000rpm's but I'm keeping it mostly off boost.

How much boost are you seeing at 3K? Also, what boost level are you going to tune for? Sorry for the million and one questions, but I am very curious about your setup.

Boosted & Apnea:

Boost starts building up at 2,500-3,000 rpm's and the PowerFC is tuned to 16psi. Since I'm still breaking in the engine and do not want to pop it I can not give you more specific #'s.

Steve calculates that at 16psi it's a strong 425hp. From the obvious increase in response and power I'm putting to the ground I do not doubt his assertion.

Since the PowerFC can hold 2 maps we will be tuning to 20psi and be able to switch from 1 map to the other at will through the PowerFC Commander. This should be most entertaining!

ApneaBlue: do you also have a GT35/40 to put on your car? Where did you get it? What hp are you expecting?

I have a new kit that I bought from a forum member...Came with DP, Turbosmart WG, Manifold and all fittings.

Aparently he ordered it somewhere out of Austrailia if my mind serves me correctly.

As far as HP expected. I don't know what to expect but I know I'm shooting for 400-425 nice and reliable HP......Didn't know that the PFC could hold two maps that are switchable...sweet.

Due to excess exhaust droning noise I'll be getting the RX7Store resonated midpipe. I just hope it's in stock.

Ha, Ha, Ha!!! Why yes, sonny. And if you ever bring that point again I'll have to get you with my walking cane! Ha, Ha, Ha!!!

Sean: It's really loud around town and annoying on long trips. I got that "after-concert" ear tinnitus driving home and getting the engine broken in yesterday. This RX7Store resonated midpipe seems quieter than Pettit's.

I e-mailed Steve but have not heard from him. See you on Friday to put the new midpipe, put my M2 box back and check the turbo.

Steve had to go out of town, I wasn't aware your car was coming back so soon? I take it you want me to modify the box then rather than sell it?

Ranzo, it's probably called Datalogit :-) You can store as many maps as you would like and load them whenever.
