New Single Turbo: OMG
Just got my car out of A-Spec in Addison, IL and all I can say is OMG! Thanks to Steve and Sean the car has been turned into a beast! The GT35/40 installation is totally clean and everything done was thoughtful in execution. Even though I have been keeping the boost down the new power is amply apparent: no need to downshift in normal road conditions, 50-90mph in 4th gear and mid-throttle takes almost no time, and I was heading home at 5th gear and 4000rpms almost all the way home making mid-throttle forays into 120mph+. As I said before: OMG!

how much did that setup cost you? I want to pick up just the turbo for my FC, if it'll fit on a T04 manifold.... supposedly the mechanic of the person I'm buying the car from told him that the turbo has a bit of play and would need to be replaced soon ![Frown](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
So I figure why the heck not go for the gusto right now huh?

good LORD... I was looking at GT series turbos for 1600 or so, I think it was 1700 for the GT35R:

Dual ball bearing and all, just not the kit and install

BoostedRex:
Thanks for your kind reply. I will need to be safe as I can now do doughnuts at every single turn and at will.
I stopped by the Azores on the way to Spain once! What are you doing there?

Aircraft electro-evnvironmental systems technician. But here I don't do much at all except surf the 'net. This is a pretty slow duty station. How long ago were you here?

Sean have you guys come out with a manifold for the 35R for an FC, or a manifold for the 40R for the FC? I know you guys do great work over there. BoostedRex doesn't do much over there, except complain about being there

The good thing about the new setup is it works with the M2 style SMIC's without needing any modifying of the IC plumbing, no cutting, no welding. Can't beat that.

Sean I'm just wondering for future. My stock turbo is heading out the door, but I can't afford a new single right now so I'm just going to do a rebuild. Have you tried finding someone in the midwest forum to see if they could drop the car off? I understand if you don't have time. But I do know that at least one other person is very interested in either a 35r or 40r kit for the FC. And I am sure that there are many more out there. Good luck, and keep making your great products.

Steiner = brown noser!! j/k
Sean, the FC kit would be widely excepted I'm quite sure!! Does the person that drops off their FC get a discount on the kit made??
Pedro, how's the car running bro? Is the break in period over yet? If so, how does she feel at WOT? Also, at what RPM are you seeing full boost?
