Need some turbo help!
So I'm in the middle of putting my turbo back together, it's an O-Trim mated to a SC6152E (35R) compressor wheel/backplate. While I was bolting the hotside down, I had to use the Air Gap ( I think that's what it's called, sits between turbine and chra) off the 6152E, and after bottoming down the bolts/brackets, the turbine housing can still spin freely. And, when I allow the pressure down on the hotside, the turbine wheel can't spin properly.
So, what I need to know is are there different widths of lip? Or am I missing something in here to space the hotside out? Pictures to explain:

the hotside and chra were part of a turbo that was assembled and working fine, the only things changed are the compressor wheel, backplate and housing. the heat shield did not come original with the hotside, it was lost when I sent my wheels and stuff out to get balanced, so instead I am using the shield off a Precision Turbo.
Is it possible different heatshields have different width lips?
