need advise on my a/c system

i really need ac in this hot 80-90degree miami weather. To get to the point my T78 compressor housing is pretty big but the a/c line doesnt exactly go around the turbo. it passes it but its really close to touching it. After i got the car back with a/c it lasted about a month. I looked at the line and it was burned in a shape of a C.

My alternatives that i was thinking about is to give thermo-tec a call to buy something to cover up that spot

or the other is to fabricate the line and weld on another part so that theres more length enabling it to go around the turbo without being near.

Anybody else has had this problem?

I smoked the crap out of my airbag lines from my turbo... used some heat tape and never had that problem again... I'd just wrap up the lines and run them around.. or perhaps even try a turbo blanket. You can also get an A/C shop to re-route those lines. I live in Arizona, I just do not drive my FD in the summer heat... I wait til it cools down (Late October) to drive... best of luck.

just some heat shield tape i picked up from summit - they got all kinds of crap - just find some stuff that has really high temperature range... and wrap it a couple of times and you'll be fine.

Yepp...make a line to go around it. If you cover it it may make it last longer, but the efficiency of the AC will lack either way. Best not to waste your time/money and fix it right the first time

I would have a new line fabricated AND wrap it with heat-tape.
