hey guys i own an 87 turbo II and i lost compression in the rear rotor over the summer. so i have decided to tear the whole thing down and rebuild it. i am looking to upgrade the turbo and all the other necessary parts but i need to decide on a what size turbo to get... i am looking to make 425-450whp. i was thinking maybe a t4 gt40? but open to anybodies suggestions... also interested in what anybody has made for power with their set up..

A T04E (57 or 60 trim) or Aspec's GT3574 can make that amount of power while being quick to spool and easy on your wallet.

A To4E is going to be very hard pressed to make those figures. You would be far better off with a 61-67mm turbo( To4S/Gt35R/T04R/T04Z)

Whats your budget for a turbo? That will help narrow it down more what would be the best option.

Well if you can spend that much, there are a lot of options. I would go with something like a 6262/6265, S362, or billet 6765. The 6262 will take a bit more boost than the other turbos to make the power, but it will spool the quickest.

I know he runs a large hotside, but there is a guy on the forum who managed 450whp at 20psi with a T04E. Its likely a race gas number though.
