awesome, my setup is going to be identical to yours but ill have stock inlet, racegas and pre turbo w/i
What type of dyno was this done on, does it over read like dynojets or more realistic figures like we get in europe, just wondered if you had increased the number to show what it would do on a dynojet because thats what most people on this forum know |

the numbers were made on a rototest hub dyno! this time we'll be running the engine on a superflow engine dyno.
when is your setup ready? so your running it on an engine dyno, thats awesome, ive never seen anyone run a 13b on a engine dyno before, should give really accurate results! My engine is build and just finished running it in, got my intercooler and rad setup, just waiting to get a few more pennies to book in for my turbosetup, all fully designed, probably 3months time assuming that everything goes to plan. Im wanting 700bhp at the flywheel, by looking at yours, since im using racegas and standard inlet ill probably need 28psi i would imagine. Though im going for a 5inch downpipe to a 4inch side exit which might help as much as yours did |
nice! Drewling over your TIG :D

finally i've got all the things, starting to get everything together.
back, middle and front plates in this engine was junk irons that were earlier over-ported, leaving the side seals unsupported. they are now welded + resurfaced + hardened. now ported to fit the rxparts lower 4 barrel intake (cosmo size). we'll see if this works... side seals are going in the rotors http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402001.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402002.jpg everything is getting a fresh paint :) http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402003.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402004.jpg time consuming... http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402005.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402011.jpg all exhaust stuff got some coating! http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402007.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402008.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...0100402010.jpg |
We also got to work some on my friends car, he will be using my old setup, ic, turbo, intake manifold etc.

Could you tell us more about the welding? are you saying you over ported the engine and then added weld to build it back up? |

i found a pic in my phone,
here is a test iron that i did. sorry for the big pic.. http://transport.molnsatra.se/bil/port.jpg |
Wow, that's some good work, well done:) You could probably do that if one was to port into the water jacket also. I was told that you couldn't weld the side plates, so its good to see it done! Excellent.

I've seen hit or miss repairs with welding, I hope yours hold up.

How much do dual gates really affect spool with the s475 in your opinion?

i havn't updated this thread for a while, been very busy with work..
today i almost finished the new motor, just some minor things left, took out the old one and started to assemble the manifolds to the motor.. i also got my autronic so hopefully the new motor will be in by next weekend so i can start wiring everything! i also bought a new radiator from a rx7-fc which isn't as wide as the fd one but it turned out to be to high instead :( i had to cut about 4 inch and weld it back together .. now it fits like a charm  big thanks to my friend lasse wankel for helping me out today :icon_tup: http://transport.molnsatra.se/bil/52010/1.JPG http://transport.molnsatra.se/bil/52010/2.JPG http://transport.molnsatra.se/bil/52010/3.JPG http://transport.molnsatra.se/bil/52010/4.JPG http://transport.molnsatra.se/bil/52010/5.JPG |

None.
It seems to me that a properly divided single gate design will yield the same spool results as a dual gate design. Not to mention less costly, less complicated and and easier to tune in my experience. Nice to see the new post gusfd3s, keep up the good work! =Benjamin |
Nice work as always man. Get that thing done and post up some numbers..
