sweet!! please post the numbers with the race cover when you tried it!
is this with racefuel or e85? 1.10 or 1.32 A/R? i guess that the amount of fuel burned using e85 is causing my 3" to choke? |
been waiting for some parts so got a few days off..
Yesterday i received a 4" v-band clamp so i cut of the 3" flange and did some welding. http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/turbo/avgas/1.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/turbo/avgas/2.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/turbo/avgas/3.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/turbo/avgas/4.jpg tomorrow i'll get my muffler and the pipe so by the end of the weekend im hopefully done! :icon_tup: |

Thanks in advance. Chris |
What i normally use is .035 308 wire for stainless and 309 for stainless to steel..
Gas: Argon, i normally set the regulator at 13~15. I also use a gas lens and usually around 35~85 amps...( depending on thickness) |

I hope you don't mind me asking what filler rod you are using for welding the stainless(diam and material), what gas (Argon, Argon/Carbondioxide etc) and at what amps you are welding.
I tig on my own and I happen to really like the defined bead your welds have. Thanks in advance. Chris im using a 1,6mm 316L rod and pure argon, 2,4mm red tungsten. amps i don't know since im using the pedal for heat control.. |
Very nice welds.

car looks like a rex from hell, lol. wicked manifold, turbo and wastegate setup. not sure of the dump tubes, but hey it works. post some vids soon. good work.

since i had a trillion 90dgr bends on my intercooler piping i felt like improving the setup.
inlet on intercooler was 2.5". http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/1.jpg welding on 3" piping. http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/2.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/3.jpg cutting on my newly polished parts :wallbash::wallbash: http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/4.jpg the rad is placed as high as possible. http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/5.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/6.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/7.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/8.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/9.jpg i'm going to try the new pegasus clamps on this setup! |
this is how the ic setup turned out..
minimum amount of bends and pipe length! http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/10.jpg http://www.molnsatra.se/bil/ic/11.jpg |
how is the clearance under the car with the intercooler pipes being that low?
|
pretty much same as before since the rad is mounted about 3inch higher.
|
very nice gus!
