Master Power T-70

Here's a link to some pictures of the Master Power T-70 (yes, the same one that's on eBay sometimes).

http://bdc.cyberosity.com/pictures/T...sterPower_T70/

The compressor wheel measures out to very close to the Precision Turbo PT70 unit. To Turbonetics, the minor measures out to very close to that of a T70 but the major is almost identical to the T66. Looks to be a good unit. Brand-new, solid, and ready for use.

Sure thing. The turbine wheel's measurements are exactly of that of a P-Trim. Looks to be the T4 big shaft derivative.

The compressor wheel: 2.720" minor (T70) and 3.584" major (T66)

Turbonetics compressor wheel specs:
T-66 - 2.580" / 3.584"
T-70 - 2.720" / 3.850"

So this "T70" is not equal to the Turbonetics T-70.

Yep apparently so. That's the very reason why I wanted to measure the compressor wheel -> to find out if it was a "true" T70 as advertised. Even if it's not, it will still perform as well (if not out-perform) as the Turbonetics T66.

Hey Klar,

It came with a P-Trim 0.68 A/R housing (undivided) but we changed it to a 1.15 A/R divided tangential.

well..it seems if you ask any turbo mustang owner..you will hear nothing but good things about the turbo, some are seeing power as high as 700hp..but thats on a mustang..if this turbo proves well..i guess it will start a trend..if not..just another turbo not to buy.

The Master Power turbos are a good turbo, the ssauto guy on ebay only uses the Master Power housing's and install's his own (crap) wheels and bearings. I've looked into the master power range alot over the last couple of weeks and the majority of people using them love them, but they all say stay away from the ssautchrome version, a good place th purchase from is www.boostedsystems.com
if you are interested in a master power turbo do a search on them in www.ls1tech.com and also www.turbogms.com just search in the forums under "master power". the bloke from boosted systems is on the above forums, his name is jose.

i just installed it, so far with mild tune and boost controller, the turbo kicks in real hard around 4,500-5,000k and screams, in first gear i managed to pull about 12psi. will keep an update.

Yes. The car is in need of a full tune, Fuel wise and ignition too. The real way is going to have to be on the dyno, i would suspect that when doing so, the turbo might hit full boost faster.

As far as I know of, no. The only available wheel I've seen is the P trim wheel.

I'm pretty impressed with this turbocharger so far. It seems like a good fit for a half-BP 13B. I think, though, that it needs a slightly bigger turbine housing plus some good exhaust manifold tuning. It seems like a quality unit so far!

By the way, one thing I forgot to mention: During our street tuning last night, I had to ramp up and add about 25% of fuel to the 15psi area in all RPM ranges (bar 22 on the E6K) just to maintain mid 11's:1 air/fuel ratios. The old curves were setup for a TO4E-60Trim. This thing is starting to pull the FD fuel pump out to max just to give you an idea of what it's doing. We're getting to 13psi of boost and it's killing the pump already!!!

Great news B! Sounds like an interesting turbo alternative to the "Big Names".

Is it true that compressors with large inducers are better in the higher boost range?
This wheel seems to have a damn big inducer compared to the T-66's with the same exducer as the T-66.
