Dont bother trying to run one unless you have a three bearing custom crank shaft and want a power band from 7000 rpm to 12000rpm hahaha

If a GT60 is soo nuch bigger than the GT42 and it being used on a 13B, then I think the 42RS with the T4 1.15 a/r exh. housing will work well on my motor.

I highly doubt you would wanna use a GT60, 104mm inducer 144mm exducer rated at 2400hp and weighs 66lbs. It literally dwarfs the 42R.

No not at all !, i'm saying that if a drag 13B could run such a large turbo , then I should be fine with the 42.

I think you'll be fine with the 42, I don't know of anyone running the 60.

I didnt know this thread was still going. With ASPECs big foot manifold and garrett turbo, 76mm wheel, and 4" exhaust, this turbo runs on the street better than any singles we
have ever used. We havent got dyno results on higher than 15 psi @530rwhp, because the clutch slipped. Our dyno has been down for a month waiting for parts so as soon as we
get running Ill post results. We plan on going to 30 psi with our new manifold and 2X850s
and 4X1600s to get enough fuel. We ran out of fuel with 2 ea 850X1600 @ 15psi. 44psi
base pressure, injectors maxed out. Hi Sean, cant wait to see your viper with twins.

I've been hearing more like 450-475rwhp @ 1bar with a 4" exhaust. Are you running a half bridge or nitrous???

Thumbs up IMHO somebodies gonna get in trouble

Yep i think you all are going to get in big trouble one day.

One morning you are gonna fire that thing up, and suck up some old ladies french poodle, snauser or jack russel terrier, or worse, some little snot nosed brat thats looking and droolin on your fenders.

Just how in the hell are you going to explain something like that off to a prosecutor, or judge?

i can see the headlines now " local car tuner implicate in animal cruelty when he starts car up and sucks in local Society Figure Barba Wa Wa's poodle"

and if that don't happen, at the very least every time you fire up the motor you are going to **** of the local weather man when you create your own localized low pressure area! WTF were you thinking

Does anyone have any information on a standard bearing GT42? As far as what boost pressure they are seeing at what rpm, with what port work and specs on the turbo?

Most are running the 42R. I know that is the one everyone keeps buying from me anyway. A good reference for you might be to do a search on a TA45 it's very simliar. But your still comparing two different turbo's unfortunately.

On average, how much faster does the 42R spool compared to the 42?

Everyone will tell you BB should spool a couple hundred rpm sooner, I would say there is more to it than that. I can't give you a on average number, as I haven't had two cars with similar setups except the turbo here to compare.

Fair enough! So then to say that the ball bearing version could spool up to 1000 rpm's faster would be overkill?

I would say yes, If it did you would have other factors at play such as manifold design and such.
