my air to water.....its awsome. we used a pump from Ford lightning to circulate the water. Allready engineered for proper flow and volume. The red cap with tank is my water tank and fill.

If someone has any numbers/dyno on this turbo setup, could you post it? I want to know what I have to look forward to. Mine is still far away from being completed.

Wow !!!! , thats a beautiful set up man !! , I am doing somithing quite similar !!. What port re you running ?. Why are you running the water through the turbo first ?? , why not use a "Y" or "T" connector to split it up ?, do you think the turbo will allow enough flow through it to supply the motor ?

His setup is different than yours he uses the larger footprint with the manifold to match.

what in the world are you doing with your coolant setup??? You cant run ALL your cooland thru the turbo, its too much of a restriction, you wont get enough flow and will over heat the engine.

Marcel, you have settled on one idea.... WOW Hats off to you for all your efforts, but you really need thre, or four cars to execute all your ideas Happy Holiday, I am off to JGTC, Autocrossing, crewing for a Time Attack team, and taking more pictures of the GT cars than you can imagine. I plan on documenting every little design que, so that I can incorporate them into my FCs Aero package. Yahoo, talk to ya guys later. Carl

Yeah I think I revert to my original plan and go with the big BB single . What y'll think about the GT42RS (102mm compressor wheel) I would it be too big ? , should I go with that one or the GT42R (94mm wheel) ?. Its a semi pp motor .

Ask Magnus, or Tyson, since he runs one. There was a complete magnus GT42 kit for sale in the 3rd gen section IIRC.

I saw it , the asking price was more than the brand new price from ATP.

you might as well get the non-bb, w/ a partial pp you'll be able to spool the standard bearing and you'll save tons of money. w/ a turbo this big you won't get good response w/ a ball bearing anyway.

That is the same water to air that a buddy has in his MR2 and it works like a charm. Is it pretty afficent with the heat from the rotary?

What are the names of these water to air intercoolers?!?!? My brother is using an older water to air CARTECH intercooler coupled with a T04B turbo. These are no longer around to really buy, so I need to find something for my application.

What is the planned goal? The 42R is a real nice turbo.

The planned goal is 11's or lower if possible with my full bodied FD . I want to make enough power to be able to do it , without having to be buying and selling parts repeatidly , I dont want to be spending my time experimenting with different combos and turbos. My present turbo may very well be able to do it , it worked well with the half BP but I awill be returning (from the dead !) with a semi PP motor , so I'm not too sure what will happen . I wouldn't mind a little more response (12psi before 4000rpm) from the turbo either.

The response would be there. The smaller one is rated at 85lbs I believe and the larger 96lbs. If it would be a bolt on replacement get the car somewhat dialed in on the older turbo, then put on the newer one.

I know the magnus kit is REAL nice, the manifold is all equal length and fully balanced made from 16gauge 321SS with dual wg's. I dont know how the ATP kit is setup. But with the 321ss and dual wg's on the Magnus it starts to add up quick. I'm sure thats why the kit cost more. Acording to the seller (and also from Marco at Magnus) the kit hits 1 bar between 3500-3800 in 3rd gear. I thought that was pretty damn amazing for a turbo that large. Must be the manifold design helping it spool like that.

I would agree. I would worry about too much of a pressure drop reducing flow.

I would prolly try to run it in parallel or utilize the coolant spot on the rear iron.

AN for vac is crazy
