Largest DP in the WORLD !!

Hello all,

This is about the 3rd time I'm posting on this topic ... No one seems to be able to help so I'm trying again.

Can anyone tell me what is the largest size down pipe I can get to mate on to this HKS T51 R KAI turbo ? Where can I find it?? I am thinking of something along the lines of 3.5 to 3.75" ID with no cat.

I have all the other mods on hand to go in when I decide to install the turbo ( decent size Streetport, fuel pump & reg, injectors, E6K, Boost controller and a GReddy Japan Off-Road exhaust etc)

Note - I do not need to pass ANY emissions and I am not running any cats in the present cat-back/mid pipe exhaust system.

Please post or email me directly if you have any info on this one. Don't read and move on to the next post.. I need some help here people !!

TIA,
3rdGen7

You can get a 5" downpipe if you have someone that can build it. There are no people that I know of that make a downpipe just for the T51 on a custom manifold (if you are using one). If you have the kit then you can just modify that one with larger piping. Sorry I couldnt help you but when it comes to single turbos custom made is the best way to go. So, I would go to your local tuner or fabricator and ask them.

you can go with a larger diameter down pipe, it is not difficult to fabricate. However, is it really necessery? Are you currently maxed out the horsepower potential for the 3" down pipe? Are you making over 550 hp at the wheels?

I've got a 3.5" for my car.....i know....that doesn't help you but you need to look if it's needed like the other guys have said.

I made a 3.5" to test on the dyno to see what kind of difference....if any....that i can get.

Good luck.....although I don't think your going to find anything from a company bigger than 3".

I will be running a T51 R KAI single turbo with a 1.0 A/R ..I wanted the larger DP because my exhaust is 3.5" (mid pipe and cat back) also it will help that big turbo spool a little better ..and I am hoping to cross 550 hp as well.

TIA,

Jesus, when are some people going to realise that it is probably cheaper to get something MADE instead of looking for something that bolts straight up??

Go to an exhaust shop, say I want the biggest pipe you can fit hanging off the back of my turbo. SIMPLE!
