KKK k27 turbo on 89 turbo2
I`ve got a kkk k27 turbo which I was thinking on using on my 89 turbo2,what kind of power can I expect from this turbo and at what rpm will it start working?I have no experience with KKK turbos so I apreciate all the info I can get.The engine is a 89 turbo2 with street ported center ports and exhaus, but the front and rear housing street ported 6port housing with a custom manifold and boost operated 6port valves.
What kind of hp do you guys think I can be able to get out off this engine?

I had a stock turbo rebuilt with clipped turbine wheel and bigger compressor. I ran 17 psi on pump gas with 8.7 rotors. I have a wolf 3d with 2x720cc and 2x1600cc injectors. I'm not sure what horsepower it had but I ran with third gens with haltech and T70 turbo's on the highway with the same boost. however the motor was ported combining the two intake ports on the end plates, making it one big port.

The n/a 6port suffer from very small primery intake ports in the centerhousing which you can`t port anything, the turbo2 primery intake ports are almost twice as big and can be ported to be much bigger. The 6port engine also suffer from the defuser in the ex.port which make it very hard to port it without removing it.You can remove it,but it is some work. The 6port front/rearhousing has two intake ports,a primery port which provide low rpm torqe, and the secundery port whichopens at higher revs to provide hirpm power. It has later closing time than a PP.If you use the 6port front and rear housing on a turbo 2 engine, you can take advantage of the radical closing time the secondery ports have at high revs, and still have good low rpm torqe because the the secunderiesare closed..The best thing is you can make the secunderies boost operated so they are only open when the engine is under boost.

Why are you using the 6port housings? Do they provide better low end? How's the flow up on the big end? Is it possible for them to flow as much as turbo housings? Most ppl that are porting a N/A like to go with the 4 port housings for better flow numbers instead of the 6's. Info needed please.
