Just got a free new turbo off a Powerstroke 6.0. Is it worth messing with?

I cant figure out exactaly what model it is but its a Garrett. A/R's are .58 and .9. I think it may be too small though.I was looking for the thread from a few months ago on this subject but can't find it. Does anyone know what model this is?

I'm not sure, but I think the 6.0 turbo is a VATN design. Those trucks are stupid powerful stock, making as much power out of 6 liters as the old 7.3 made with a chip and exhaust. I'm sure it'll flow lots of gas, but not sure if it'll flow enough for you. How much power do you wanna make? Can you get more turbos?

I think this turbo is too small for me. I am looking to make 450rwhp. I can get more though for cheap

From reading posts on the forum discussing putting the powerstroke turbocharger onto a 13B, most guys predict that your power limit would be in the high 300's at the wheels, before you max out the efficiency of the turbocharger.

a VATN turbo would be sweet.

Bridgeported, that may be true, but nobody knows unless Int'l put the same turbo on the 6.0. The 6.0 has only been out for about 3 months. This turbo is probably different. This motor makes more power than the old 7.3, and the only way I can see this is more airflow... this airflow could be generated by boost. Does anyone have any pics of one?
