Roger, I guess you didn't check out the whole thing. Now most of the links are working. Before, only the Gallery and Video links were working. For the Efini pipe, I still have it but I don't know where I put the lower piece at. I still need to find it. As for the oil cooler, I custom made all the brackets. The oil cooler is a Earl's oil cooler. I use the braided steel lines, Earl's fitting to connect all the stuff together. The parts along cost me about 750 bucks.

Oil cooler: $300
Fittings: $200
Lines: $150
Mocal Thermostat: $100

It's a pain to make that thing. It took me 3 days to get it fitting perfertly. As for the fiberglass duct, I used the foam board you can buy from the drug store to make a template and then I laid fiberglass on top of it. You can buy the fiberglass stuff from either Tap Plastic or just regular auto parts store that sells body work stuff (bondo, fiberglass cloth, resin, etc). BTW, I made the duct specifcly to fit with the C-West bumpe I have. I doubt it will fit the stock bumper or the 99' one.

The silver one is my friend, Jimmy's car. I will post more of his car's photos on my website along with my other friends. Roger (onequick7), send me some pix of your car, I have a space for you. Steve (poweraxel), send some pix of yours too or I am just going to grab them from your web.

The turbo has more lag than the T78. My friend Rick from Rick's rotary performance let me drive his T78 Rx-7 once. It feels that the T78 spools up at lower rpm than the T51R Kai. On my car, the turbo starts to spool up around 3k and the boost goes to 7 psi at 5k rpm and then after that it goes to full boost in no time. The torque after 5k rpm is very smooth and it's where the fun begins. So pretty much, if you want to race me, I will only race you from 70 mph and up. Below that, the car is slower compared to my sequetial turbo setup or I should say no real torque below 5k rpm. Yes, I still drive it on the street. It's not like the car is dying and bugging below 5k rpm. So I think the turbo is barely streetable. I haven't put my car on the dyno yet because I cannot find a good dyno shop that has A/F ratio data logging around my area. I will keep searching and hopefully I will have some dyno sheets to post on the web soon.

Thanks for the info..Damn just love that oil coolers. Hey is it possible if you give the size of the fittings or all of the part number cause i want to make one for my car but i think im gonna make 2. Do you think thats to much? O yeah did you have to add extra oil cause you have a larger oil cooler. Hey email me please w/ the detail. rx7kelvin@hotmail.com

Thanks
Kelvin
For the oil cooler, the bottom sits really low. It's about 0.5" above the lip of the C-West front bumper which sits lower than the stock one. You will not be able to use the size I have with the stock bumper. You also need to do some modification to the undercover piece that sits below the stock oil cooler. You just really have to do trial and error to make eveything fit. There is no way for me to describe the whole procedure but I can tell you the parts you need.

Earl's 34 row oil cooler
mocal 10AN thermostat
two 180 10AN earl's fitting
two straight 10An earl's fitting
four 90 10AN earl's fitting
ten feet 10AN SS braided lines
two 10AN to M18 metric adaptor

After the install, I added a little bit more than 5 quarts of oil with empty oil pan.

That's it. Good luck!

Chuck
