How to tell if its a CHINA turbo?

Hey guys, I got a turbo rebuild recently, along with an upgraded intake side. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if my intake housig and compressor wheel are china parts? I have heard one of the major turbo distributors around here using china parts, and I am wondering if my upgraded parts are from china.

Porcelain? Well, it is "a ceramic material made by heating selected and refined materials." Did your turbo have ceramic parts to it? Did you get it upgraded to ceramic coated parts?

Wait, did you mean CHINESE? Or maybe MADE IN CHINA? Or parts FROM CHINA?

Just because something is made in China, doesn't mean that it isn't top quality. It has to do with the specific supplier/turbo manufacturer. People have this view of Chinese parts as crap, but I think you'd be surprised at how much of automotive parts are made in China.

If you want to know if your parts are crappy, not just if it's made in China, take some pics and take a look at the wheel clearance to housings. That is always a good indicator of how well machined it is.

I will ask them tomorrow.

I was just thinking about how much I paid for it, and if it was made with the same parts as the ebay stuff, I feel like I would have been better off buying an ebay one. One of the big turbo distributers is now geting their parts from china. I'm hoping its not the same as the ebay crap
