how red is normal to be?

I have installed a single turbo setup but I think that the turbo is getting too red , I'm working at this moment at 8 psi max , and they get very red at nigth ,I have all the exaust system with a termal shield and i can see the red thru it. It is normal ??, cause I know that other piston cars don't get that red , and the red goes await after a time in idle , in this case , I have the turbo timer setup in 4 minutes and the red don't get off easily.

That is really hot. How lean are you running? Are your catalityc converters also running red?

Im running at 11.6 A/F ratio all the time , and at 13 at the hi way with no load 120mph . and at idle at 14,7.
It is without the catalitycs , free flow.
With a to4e garret turbo

check if the car ignites as it should be... if it doesn't it will make the unburnt fuel ignite in the manifold/turbo hence a very high temp... just my guess

good luck!

is the turbo only getting red with normal driving? or on w.o.t runs? its quite normal for it to get red when your running the car hard, or multi passes. my old 97 talon did the same thing when i did multi passes or long highway pulls.
