Hotside A/R .81 too small?

I just picked up a Turbonetics 62-1 with the hotsode AR of .81
I am shooting for 390-400rwhp out of my S5 heavily ported 13BT.
I will be running a Apexi Power FC and I have all the supporting mods for this kinda of power.

I have heard that .70 AR is much too small for that size of comp housing and that .84 is about as small as you wanna go with a rotary.

I really don't care if I can't break 400 horse but just was curious if anyone has had some experience with this A/R size.

It works fine.

I've driven an FD with stockports, .81 or 82a/r (memory's foggy) GT35R boost was nearly instant and the car made 407 at 15psi. When cranked up to 15psi boost peels off slightly, maybe 2-3psi, by redline.

Define heavily ported.....large streetport? If so you're still fine. A large/medium streetport on an FC iron is approx. equivalent to a stock FD port.

.81 is fine for what your after, granted its a T4 flange inlet turbine housing and using a P-Trim turbine wheel.

Yes it is a T4 flnge and has a P-Trim wheel.

The ports are large street port, template had engraved markings on them that said race port(previous owner used a template from rotary shop in japan). I compared ports on my irons to my RB templates and they are a little larger.

Thanks for the responses guys. It is appreciated.
