Hesitation from 6 to 7k rpms w/ rx6 td04

Common sense tells me its fuel related not ignition. Injectors should be good and the pump should be good. Any ideas? Checked the map out and it looks good too.
TIA No hesitation in 1st gear, and none in second unless I floor it, but always in 3rd and 4th between 6k and 7k once it gets past 7k the spuddering stops and she feels strong again.

Sounds like you're dumping too much gas in there. Can you feel / hear any misfiring? Do you have a wideband on the car?

My car wouldn't even accelerate past 6k in 2nd last week, due to severe misfiring under full throttle (um, a 'bit' too much fuel via the haltech ) I leaned it out a bit and it's pulling hard now!

allrotor -- he said he's got an RX-6. Now, two of 'em would be pretty sexy, but I doubt that's the case

That could be it but the map looks fine and I don't want to risk detonation when leaning it out. I don't have a wideband but I should invest one. I will probably end up letting the pro's figure it out I was hoping someone with the rx6 kit had a quick remedy This is my first single turbo fd and so I'm pretty clueless at this time. Thanks for the helpful suggestion,
Fritz

I think he's talking about the secondary injectors... not turbo.

Fritz,

I'd highly recommend a wideband. Ask Vosko how useful it is... definetly a good investment for long Wankel life!

Congrats on going single!!

Right know I am shooting 2 foot flames and I can only see half my bumper so I'm sure its running just a tad rich but I also don't want to lean it out without knowing exactly what the air fuel mix is. The J&S doesn't show it running too rich or lean but I don't think its very accurate. I ran it like this for about 3 hours of track time last weekend and its fine until about 85 or 90 in 3rd stumbles a bit until 7k rpms then has good power again from 7k to 8k shift (big flame) and the same scenario in 4th never got into 5th because of this hesitation shaat. I may have to use my other car for mads just to keep the fd rep in good standing

So who makes a good wideband that I can mount in my car?

Thanks again for the help and suggestions,
Fritz

I'd recommend the FJO. I have one in my car (Vosko has one too) and it's great. You can datalog on a palm, or a laptop if you want.

Steve - the owner of widebando2 is a great guy and super knowledgable. Feel free to shoot him some questions. shayes@petroferm.com

Jim,
Thanks alot for the recommendation If you come to MADS look for a blue base w/ stock wheels or a cym with ssr comps and I will be looking for the silver BEAST.
Thanks again,
Fritz

I have new info to add. If the boost remains at 11 or 12 I have no hesitation but anything above this and the hesitation increases along with the amount of boost. Any feedback would be appreciated and if anyone has any tuning experience (owner of a datalogit would be very helpful) and lives close to Charlottesville VA I would fatten your wallet if you can help me out The closest single turbo tuner that I know of is KDR and he is about 6 hours away
TIA,
Fritz
