Help:Turbo manifold for turbonetics 62-1!

Hi i'm from trinidad(caribbean), recently bought FD with a single turbo setup, car works fine but i indentified a couple of issues, my main concern is the manifold for the turbonetics 62-1 turbo was custom built from steel and the turbo is actually touching the lower intake manifold, which is an obvious problem, i need to source a manifold to replace this one, also the downpipe striaght to the catback is steel. Saw a couple of manifolds on rx7.net
http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/rx...-95%20rx-7.htm

http://www.rx7store.net/RX_7_Turbo_M...20manifold.htm

please i need advice on what to do, there arnt alot of rotary guys and parts in my country

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

How about welding another flange onto your manifold where it meets with block? It would move the turbo away from the LIM. You could also grind the LIM where the turbo is touching.

I had a similar issue, and had to go with something like:

My manifold and turbo are divided, so picture this one, but divided (and each flange sits an angle from each other, kind of like a > )

How close? Post some photos. Its not using an on-center turbine housing is it? If so you could just switch to a Tangential housing and problem solved..

That looks like 9 out of 10 setups out there. Get a turbo blanket or some heat shielding for the lim and enjoy the car. Once u start ripping into it u will find way more stuff that will need ur attention. Check every hose, wire, pipes, etc, then gi enjoy the car. When stuff breaks, fix it and go from there.

I would replace the window screen with a real filter. Remove the heat wrap. Make a SS heat shield for the hot side and replace the oil drain tube with something not so close to the header.
