help determine A/R size with my specs

alright,

stock port motor
Garrett T04B v-tirm compressor (54mm) with 60 ar
3 inch exhaust
greddy/trust tubular ss divided manifold
p-trim turbine wheel

the turbo came with a 1.15 divided housing but i know that is too big for a stock port engine.

so what size, i was thinking .96 divided or is that still too big, would a .84 be too small

also what kind of losses would i be looking at with using a undivided housing with a divided manifold?

any input is great
zac

Stock ports on what 13B??

I would think that w/ the larger "P" trim wheel on the turbo the divided .84 would definitely be the way to go for more response on stock ports.

Divided housing will give slightly better boost response, but is no way the biggest factor in boost response. From my limited experience a larger 3.5-4" exhaust will help boost response more as would decreasing pressure drop accross all the intake side.

13bt engine

alright .84 it is, should i stick with a divided housing since i have a divided manifold or is it nobiggie? What would there just be some turbulence at the junction of the manifold at housing with an undivided housing?? The reason i ask is because i can find the open ones alot more often and cheaper from what i have seen

thanks guys

yeah, definately stick with divided if you already have a divided manifold.

0.81 or 0.84 A/R P-Trim.

Running a nondivided turbine housing on a divided manifold will be fine. The difference will be minimal. I agree with reducing backpressure on the turbine. It will help out more than you think for response.

Stick with the divided. Besides, .84 only comes in divided. .81, .96 are non divided housings.
