Who is running a SS Flex joint on their Downpipe ??

Just wondering if anyone has done this mod. to their downpipe to reduce any stress on exhuast housing of turbo etc.....

I'm thinking about fitting one into my new dp.

Don't need to unless you're exhaust system is hard mounted?

FWD's need it cause the engine "roll over" their downpipes.

Yeah, I think I'll order one. On my last turbo exhaust housing cracked. I think it was a crappy casting but I'm sure if I had a flex it may have held up longer.

So, if I got a 6" flex where is the ideal location on the downpipe ?

TIA

Flex joints are a GREAT idea, regardless if your exhaust is hard or soft mounted. It will reduce stress to your turbo and your most likely expensive turbo manifold. Think of your exhaust as a HUGE breaker bar bolted to your turbo. I can't seem to find a 3.5" flex joint though
