Sean mentioned u need to "mod" the area on the fender to clear. I'm hoping my engine brace + urethan motor mounts will suffice.

Urathane motor mounts = The ****.. you won't need an engine brace.. but you might want to start saving for new fillings

The problem is, there is not a dyno on every corner.

I live in central Pennsylvania and I can attest to that. There is a dyno at KDR in harrisburg, that's the closest one I know of. I'm trying to get one of my old proffessours let me use the awd dyno in the shop, but I'm not sure if he'll let me. He thinks my car will kill the dyno. pfff.

Sean how much is the 40R by itself without the kit. There was no pricing for it alone on your site.

I travelled up from Virginia once to Dave @ KDR. I was visiting my brother in Virgina at the time.

Wow. That place (Harrisburg) is like a freaking TIME WARP. I went from fast moving Slicon Valley (where I live & work) to "horse & buggy" PA within like 48 hrs! That was the wierdest experience I've witnessed. It was like Capt Kirk dropped "out of Warp to Impulse speed".

There was even a Quaker dude at the gas station (working on some 1940's all black car - a "reach" for his type I'm sure). He was a nice fella and said, "You must have one of dem rotary thingies. WELL, that KDR shop is up yonder, around that next left over the hill".

What a TRIP that was. We did end up smoking a new Black C5 after eating lunch though (even with a heat soaked IC, 40 lbs of tools in the back, a full tank of gas, me & my brother in his modded 3rd Gen, and the C5 guy by himself. I "wreckin' he don't see too many of dem rotary thingies up in dem parts too often". That guy got WAXED .

See ya,
-Matt

KDR is 100 miles Northeast of Harrisburg, it's in Nazareth PA, for now, they are moving further South into the Reading area I think. They run higher horse power buggies up there. Even the buggies are smoking the C5's.....

A bit off topic since this is a Gt40 post .but I hear alot of the 35/40 kits are installed 400hp +, and just a few days later the owners wreck there Fd's ? I am prepared for the huge HP increase but It sounds like alot of kids slap a huge turbo on a FD and have no idea what they have .Be safe guys !!

I know the dynos havent been posted but from all the gt35/40 feedback ,this 40r snail will get me to my magic 475 hp goal

Yep, Dave @ KDR said the SAME exact thing when I was up there. He pegged it at about 1/3 of all new big single installs that he performs end up wrecked within the first 2 weeks of the install. An amazing stat.

He mentioned a 17 yr old picking up his newly installed T-78 FD. He & his dad (driving a 911 TT) ended up "racing" on the way home & the kid in his FD not only lost control but ended up dying in the wreck ).

A big single & a newbie driver is Bad Ju Ju. When I go single, I'm getting that electronic tracktion control installed so I can regulate how much wheel spin I wish to tolerate.

I heard exactly the same from Dave. That turbo has full boost right sway and the *** end wants to kick out real quick. Ya need some big meats on the rear!

I have done so myself. It's a big difference from my old T04S kit.

People do not understand that 400RWHP in that light as hell car is nothing to take lightly.

I know that a Z06 Vette puts down 405. Does anyone know what they weigh?

The Z06 has 405 HP at the flywheel, so the HP at the wheels is less than that. I think they typically make 350-360 HP at the wheels. The weight is 3100-3150 lbs.
