I like the fact the turbo is low and back...you can fit a real filter on the end and the compressor housing won't tear up your a/c lines! Very nice setup.

I have now seen this set up in person and I must say it if very trick. A-Spec has done a super job on this kit.If it make power like it looks, this will truely be a winner.
If all goes well, I will have one by February.

The wastegate is the optional 50mm swing-type gate normally you would get the 45mm progate.

Care to show us a before, and after on the Garrett vband? Are you going to make a manifold/DP for the FC? How close is that set-upm to fitting an HKS GT 60mm wastegate (could I fudge it)? Thanks Shuck

There is no before and after on the v-band,and unless you already own the 60mm gate I would bet this one flows better and overall is more compact also.

What makes you think I'd copy what he is doing? Garrett put that beefy flange there for a reason, and I have seen Vband clamps that fit the Garrett without modification. Sean Has a good set-up at a fair price, what the machining looks like will be proprietary until he or ATP sell one(which both have already done). SO,,,,,,,,,,,,,Sean, yes I already own an HKS 60mm GT wastegate, how do you figure a 45mm gate will outflow a 60mm(not to mention the HKS GT works well on 1000hp Supras running over 30lbs of boost)? Bottom line is this, 98% of the people out there should buy the kit, and be done with it, the other 2% are fanatics(and a pain in Sean's ***), and will tweak, and play until they find something that suits them, call me that 2% pain in the ***

Also, what about the FC part of the question? I am sure you could sell plenty of Tubular divded manifolds for the Fc, if they would fit a large frame turbo, T66 or bigger. It would need to be around 400.00-450.00 to sell well IMHO. Thanks.

Carl, the wastegate in the pic is 50mm, not 45mm and it would flow better because it flows at a 45 degree angle not a 90 degree angle. I will take 50mm of _ / over 60mm of _| any day. As far as the FC goes if I had one to work on I would do it I don't have any cars to work off of so it doesn't look like it would happpen anytime soon.

I'm no engineer, but I do know you will not outflow the 60mm HKS GT, I have never seen a street car do it, ever. I guess it's like tring to decide whether to put "W" or "Z" rated tires on a fiesta

I never said a street car would out flow a 60mm gate, I said the 50mm gate would have better flow because it is at a 45 degree the 60mm gate that flows at 90 degrees. I also think the 60mm GT gate is great, but why have something that is bigger and heavier and has poorer flow characteristics, The truth is either one is way more than what's needed on the street, the other thing to consider is the fact that too big a wastegate and controlling lower boost levels becomes harder.

Sure you can vent to atmosphere, it wouldn't be hard at all.
