Later spool times, but should be some SCARY top end power for you. You did get the BB GT40 right??

Yeah if i keep the GT 40 its for my bridge later on, don't want to have to upgrade again. Unfortunatly its not BB. So i'll be poked in the pooper for spool times

Internal Wastegate GT3540 Idea!

My mate at Garrett had a 13B with the same turbo on it, and made 380rwhp. For a street application it would be perfect. Mine is actually a internal wastegate version, and I'm looking for a very streetable Gen 1.

I think in your case a GT3540 would be ideal.

Hey guys, great thred! Hope you don't mind it coming back from the dead (as apposed to statin a new thred).

It certainly looks like this one could be perfect for a streetable S5 rx7. I've seen a few places (http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product...oducts_id=3658) advertising this turbo with the internal wastegate option.

Now this makes me think, if its internally waste gated and has a T3 flange. What would stop one from using the std S5 exst manifold with a spacer so that the comp doesn't hit the lower intake manifold. I've got a mate that can laser cut me a spacer to go in between the std exaust manifold and the GT35 Exaust housing. That way, you get a great BB turbo thats practically bolt on (would have to probly make a new downpipe/flange with my MIG). No need for aftermarket manifolds, external wastgates or seperate wastgate downpipes. Would look more simple, and would be a bit different to what guys usually do when going to a big single.

The question is, WILL IT WORK? Me thinks theres gotta be a catch

oh, btw, my project is a S5 13b with heavy extend port, dowled, 2mm seals, s6 bearins, balanced, yada yada. Wolf3D, full exaust, Vmount Intercooler, 1600's, S5 turbo with to4e comp, comp wheel, and exst wheel.
