506rwhp 387 TQ @25psi :D .81 P trim rules!

Well, like I said guys, the PT67 has proven itself in my book. Small street port/HKS cast/3" exhaust/ 111 octane / 6725-11.5 plugs, 506/387 @ 25 psi, 449/332 @ 20 psi. AFRs mid 11s 90 degree day, sea level, SAE graph. Torque is near max value from ~4500 to redline. I have to get the dyno place to print with RPM, but ~15psi at 4500 rpm. here is one sheet, i'll get some cleaner ones scanned later. http://www.boost-world.com/media/Dyno/Carls%20506hp.JPG

thanks to BDC, and Black Sheep Performance(for use of the dyno, and opening up on sunday to do this. Carl Byck

Ray at PFS has suggested to install a PT67 GTQ trim for my current ride going single. I won't have that much boost or octane, but the numbers look impressive to me.

Probably not very high, since the turbo is more efficient at higher boost levels.

Congrats Carl. I know that this dyno sheet has been a long time coming. Glad to see that everything is working out the way you had it planned. Nice numbers!!

Carl congrats.... I got the HPS cover from PT did you? Brian at PT says it whistles like a jet and scares people within 100yards. Supposily helps with anti-surge we shall see.

The anti surge cover may make your turbo spool some 200-300 rpm slower, an the 67, it does create that lag on the Supras(but it sounds mean as hell). Mine is a standard bare bone PT67, no special options. Carl

It seems that you have resolved your problems with the oil seals/restrictors on your turbo. What was the final sizing on the restrictor for your turbo and what kind of oil pressures are you pushing? Congrats on the numbers and great to see another Precision turbo success story.

Final restrictor is .125" Oil pressure at WOT is pushing 90psi, ~20 at idle. Carl

Congrats on the 506 Carl and Brian . It was impressive to see and hear. I just wanted to thank everyone involved; Carl for setting it up, Brian for tuning and Black Sheep Performance for the dyno. Keep me posted on Brian’s return trip I am going to make some changes to my car; I would like to squeeze a few more ponies out of it next time around (just a drop in the bucket compared to Carl's).

We have videos that Brian is hosting, the spool up is crazy fast, 2500 to 8500rpm in well under three seconds on the 25psi(500whp) pulls. BTW, we did 3 or four pulls at 25 psi that broke the 500 mark, and all were after about 30 pulls, so heat soak was certainly a limiting factor. I need more fuel, we are in the mid to high 80s with 680 primaries, and 1680 secondaries, I'd like to see ~75%duty cycle. I'll be adding an Aquamist in the next couple weeks for more cooling of the intake The IATs on the street are ~100 on a 90* ambient day(filter is between the IC, and the radiator), but they were as high as mid 120s on the dyno. The Aquamist will lower the IAT about 10-15 degrees, and have a much larger effect on EGTs. Water temps wer 180-190 on the dyno, and oil temps were ~150*. Later, Carl

Not to sound like downer but I thought your big goal all this time was 450@15lbs??? Just curious when you were seeing 15lbs by. I would like to compare it to a couple of 67mm turbo's we have run on our 450R kits.
