Very Nice!!

Nothing like another well sorted out 400+ hp RX-7 to put the fear of God into the Z06's and BPU supras.

I have to settle for terrorizing Tiburons and the occasional M3's

Thumbs up <<--- Best avatar on the forum :)

That's nice Brian.
Are you taking suggestions for Phase 2 of development? Maybe, show torque curve w/ or w/o HP
Thanks!

It's good to finally see some #'s from the 35/40.

Steve C.
- guys, its all about the torque curve.

Heh, yeah I always try to discourage people from getting a T78 unless they want to drag race and run big boost (18+) and get big numbers (500+ range).

I'm not saying a nice T78 setup doesn't exist in street trim, but why make things harder on yourself? I think that Gordon Monsen's car (T78) will be interesting to check out when he gets the right dyno from KDR, because he's been more focused on drivable power lately. He has been trying some things like variable backpressure exhausts... I'll let him explain all that though.

Wow! I'm really impressed with your new turbo. Also, I saw your FD a long time ago at Dave's shop and it's so sweet.

Yeah I think it's pretty neat. And the nice thing is that the more I get, the more accurate it becomes. If I had 50 T78 graphs and one or two of them were really lucky runs or the person was lying about the boost levels... they would stand out. So.. if anyone reading this has a dyno in jpeg/bmp/gif/whatever format and it's not on there.... send it to me!

brian@pop.net

Please include your performance mods list and boost level as well as any info you know about your turbo. Also please send a web page link or other info you want listed.

My mods are very similar. Except I have a jacobs ignition, with MSD2 leading coils, a 3 bar map sensor, and 850cc primary. I'll have my AF61r in soon and we can compare the results. I run the cosmo pump too... I'll post when I get them =P

The price difference on the turbos are crazy... $750 from Davinci, almost double for the GT35rT4.

I'll post when I see'm =)

I was there when he made those dyno #s. I think they are high by 50 rwhp at least. Dave's dyno was not accurate, not even close. too many cars (mine included) coming out of there with #s that were way too optimistic.

Damn this is old... Actually my friend Jehan just put down about 400 rwhp on the same setup except he has a stock motor. Both of us were running 16 psi so my 430 at 16 on a ported motor vs his 400 on a stock motor seam pretty much on the spot. I will note though that I had alot of timing. Car felt great though... BTW, I have seen alot of turbos, and have yet to see anything that spools like a 35/40 and actually makes power. Yea the rx-6 spools faster as do twins, but they don't compare in top end.
