greddy 2 row to fit with rpm gt3540?

I want to get a greddy 2 row intercooler to fit with my rpm gt3540 turbo. I was going to get the one for stock twins and fab the piping, but it is on backorder. The only ones in stock are for the stock elbow. I need it to mate to the greddy elbow. Will the interooler meant for single turbo fit? I don't mind having to do some custom fabrication. I'm just trying to see what would be easiest.

Why don't you want to use the IC you already have? It looks like it should do the job.

High intake temps caused my motor to detonate. The M2 large is a great intercooler, but it is useless when it doesn't have sufficient airflow. The thing heat soaks real bad at the track, and the tiny duct opening doesn't help things even when at speed.

Oh, I didn't know that the air duct was very small. It shouldn't be too hard to make the IC work as long as both the core and the pipes coming from the endtanks are the same. If you want to make a test fit you can just use some steel bends, etc. and connect them all with silicone connectors. That will get you running fine. Then when you're ready you could always have them welded together or replace them with aluminum bends. I believe that the Greddy kits come with steel pipes, don't they?

yea the opening is maybe 1" tall by 8" long, waaay to small. And sitting upder the hood the core gets hot as a bbq grill. I swear I can cook a steak on it.

I said f it and paid the $200 more for the single turbo version of the 2 row. If anything I'll have to fab the inlet piping. I don't have time to wait. The car must be ready before the 15th.

If you could make a better duct it may help. How high were your intake temperatures before the motor blew?

It will be very easy to make the piping fit. Once you get everything together you'll see what I mean. I made the piping for my 2nd gen kit fit the T-78 and an FD upper intake with a Greddy elbow. It's not pretty, but it does a good job. My intake temps stay pretty low.

I guess it's too late, but a fan on the IC may have helped.

Had an 8" fan on it, didn't help much. Bought a 2nd fan for a dual 8" fan setup but didn't get a chance to test. Nothing is going to keep the core from heat soaking when it is under the hood.
