Question Going Haltech...

I've decided that I will go with the Haltech to manage my 60-1 on my TII. I keep reading about how easy it is to install and a pain to tune. What I want to know is what am I really getting myself into. Am I going to be able to tune this thing myself?

I heard that it's the other way around. PITA to install and easy to tune. Compared to PFC at least. Am I wrong?

easy to install, never done seomthing like it before, installed it and fired straight away if you can play - join the green wire to the red wire about 20 times, you can install one

I feel sure I can put it in ok, I do car dvd players and screens, cd players and the such all the time. I think if I get it from k2rd it comes with a stock map but how hard is change that map? Am I going to blow up my car if I change a setting way out of wack?

Yep! Tick.......tick..........tick.................BOOM !!!

Actually, I think I will contact Roger Mandeville and see if he is willing/able to install and tune a Haltec for me. I just can't wait to see if the "E11" will be a good unit. I wish they would release the damn thing. Steve Eckeridge is trying to talk me in to a Motec. I suppose I will end up with one of the two.
In the mean time you need to stop worrying about a Haltec and buy a banjo bolt to fix your car........lol.

The Motech is nice but its more $$$ the haltech will do the same thing and it seems more ppl use it.
