Garrett Turbo P/N matching. Need help!

Hey guys I've searched around looking for info on how to determine if a certain turbo is right for me. A guy on a local forum is selling a (Garrett) AiResearch TO4B.

Turbo info claimed is AiResearch TO4B35
A/R .81
P/N 465210-4004-R
(Stamping on turbo is unclear could be 465210-4009-R...9009?)
It has 8 twin bladed compressor.

Is there a place i can input a P/N and see the turbo's specs?
I tried garrett and no luck.

Can someone help me find out what model TO4B this is?
Thanks

the only way to really know on one of the older turbines like that is to measure the compressor blades exducer and inducer, this will alow you to compare it to sizeing charts to find out what it can do. same goes for the hotside turbine blades.

Yeah I knew that was possible but the turbo is out of town so I'm not able to get the measurements unless I actually drive out to see it

It isnt an old turbo, if that helps. its new. its just he doesnt have receipt or anything... maybe it "fell off the back of a truck?"

Anyone know if theres anywhere i can just run a part number?

The turbo that you are looking at is a very old turbo from the late 70's early 80's.

It is a T04B35 with:

70mm 63 trim Compressor Wheel .60A/R
74mm 76 trim Turbine Wheel .81A/R

I hope that helps,
Kevin

The T04B35 is equipped with a .69 A/R exhaust turbine and a 0.6 Hi/Flo compressor. A V2 compressor trim is matched to a 2.581" compressor intake.

Pretty sure Garrett does not make the T04B series anymore... it would be a GT class turbo now, something fairly small as the 70mm isn't huge. It's a fairly decent size but not considered large by any means.

The last four of that model are 0009

465210-0009

Comp

63 Trim
2.16/2.76" Wheel Diamater Inches
54.86mm/70.1mm

Turbine

76 Trim
2.54/2.92 Wheel Diameter Inches
64.52mm/74.17mm

0.81 A/R

That should be everything you need to match up something nice.

You just listed the exducer - I've included the inducer sizes as well =)

I was writing a book so you beat me to it, haha.

Yes that helps a lot thanks for the help. so considering the model this is definately
not my turbo when looking for 400whp

What kind of power could i expect from bridgeport and 12psi....no more than 330 ish? that garbage.

That turbo will probably output the same power as the twins around the same boost level.

If you're looking for 400hp, just snag a gt3574.

GT35r new is about $1200

You can calculate the compressor wheel inducer and the turbine wheel exducer with the Trim.

well its on an FC so power would be pretty pathetic i would assume. GT35r was the original build plan. its just this is 1/4 the price. so if it was only a minor drawback then I would have done it.
