T04S will make more power
T04B will have faster spool up but less power.
BTW I dont think you see many T04B's on 3rd gens, i think they are mostly used on 2nd gens. You mostly see T04E's T04S's and T04R's on 3rd gens.
Anyone correct me if i am wrong.

I've seen T04B and from what I know they are more streetable and T04S are for moderate track racing?

T04S will hit the FC LIM unless you use a custom manifold. the comp. housing is too big. T04B fits fine, though. That's why you don't see as many T04Ses on FCs.

I hope that's true. I plan on running a T04S with the HKS manifold in my FC. Anyone else want to chime in?

If it's not my car isn't real. I am speaking on my experience with a T04s and an HKS manifold. The HKS manifold moves the turbo far forward. I have a ton of room between manifold and turbo.
